Jury Duty II

Brother Theophyle and eleven other persons are meeting together in a Jury Deliberation Room to render a verdict in a trial.

The Jury Foreman has spoken his opinion and so have the other ten. So, he says to Theo, “Mr. Theophyle, that's eleven votes to you. What do you say, is the defendant guilty or not guilty?”.

Brother Theophyle responds, “Mr. Foreman, I say ... guilty by reason of insanity.”

Hanging by a thread overhead is a spider, who observes, “Guilty by reason of insanity? There's a verdict I've never heard in here before.”

Sitting nearby on the wall is a house fly, who replies, “Maybe he means his own.”
