What’s A Name?

Brother Theophyle is sitting in the woods, beneath a tree. Overhead, the sun is shining, and a bird is flying across the sky. A rabbit, with one foot inside the cartoon and one foot outside, approaches. Theo has seen the rabbit before, but he does not know the rabbit’s name, so he says, “Hi, there. Nice to see you. Say, what’s your name, anyway?”

The rabbit replies, “Name?”

Theo responds, “You know, like a label. So I can distinguish you from others.”

The rabbit, who is now seated on the ground next to Theo, asks, “Others?”

Theo is frustrated. He says, “Oh, for goodness sake! Give me a break.”

The rabbit gets up to walk away, and says, “Me?”
