You and I are not here to do
anything.
Life is not about goals and accomplishments.
Those are simply distractions we generate
To obscure our real purpose.
Which is, simply, to be what we are.
Curiously, of all the
species, we alone find
Being more difficult than doing.
The Teacher is right: We can learn much from the lilies.
So, the question isn’t, What
am I to do? but, What am I?
Make your practice the search for an answer to that,
And all of the rest will take care of itself.
